Serrated Hex Flange Nut
Hex nut with a flanged bearing face and serrations. Confirm thread, flange dimensions, tooth form and mating surface from the drawing.

A serrated hex flange nut combines a hex drive, an enlarged flange and teeth on the bearing face. The photo shows radial serrations below the flange, but it does not establish the thread, material, property class or finish.
A serrated face is not the same as a plain flange
The teeth contact and penetrate the mating surface, so they can change a coating, soft material or cosmetic face. If tooth marks are not acceptable, evaluate a plain flange nut, washer or another locking method during design and sample approval rather than substituting parts during assembly.
Put the mating surface in the RFQ
State the mating-part material, coating, hardness requirement, hole form and available flange space. Include installation direction, tightening method and whether disassembly or reuse is expected. A name such as “locking nut” does not prove vibration performance for a particular joint.
Information for bulk purchase
Send the thread and pitch, wrench size, overall height, flange diameter and thickness, serration direction, requested material or finish, quantity, packing, destination and acceptance documents. Supply scope is checked against the drawing or approved sample.
