Slotted Pan Head Machine Screw
Machine screw with a slotted pan head and threaded shank. Confirm thread, length, head dimensions, material and finish from the drawing.

A slotted pan head machine screw has a rounded pan head, straight drive slot and machine thread that mates with a nut, tapped hole or compatible threaded component. The image shows a fully threaded shank and a blunt end. It should not be treated as the same part as a pointed pan head self-tapping screw.
A name does not define the mating thread
State the thread system, diameter, pitch, length datum, thread length, head diameter and head-height requirement. Similar pan heads can be paired with different metric or inch thread forms. The mating nut, tapped hole or threaded insert must use the compatible designation.
Put drive access in the drawing
A straight slot needs an appropriate blade width and room for direct driver access. For a narrow cavity, near-surface part or automated assembly, check the drive method and permitted head projection in advance. A photo does not establish tightening torque, material hardness or resistance to loosening.
Include the mating components in the RFQ
Send the standard or dimensioned drawing, thread and length, requested material or performance, finish, mating components, quantity, packing and document requirements. When replacing an existing screw, include a photo of the old part and its key dimensions. Dimensions, materials and supply terms are confirmed per enquiry.
